The menu at Morton`s hasn`t changed much in the nearly twenty years that this Chicago steak house been open -- when you have something good, why make any changes! Diners know that Morton`s is the place for consistently good prime-aged beef, though you can also get fresh fish, lamb, veal, and chicken. Eschewing the red leather, clubby feel that one often finds at a steakhouse, Morton`s boasts a more upscale dining room, but nonetheless never lets you forget that this is beef country. Songs from Frank Sinatra helps, as does the humidor at the ash-register. An expensive ventilation system helps make Morton`s a cigar friendly restautrant that is not so unfriendly to the few diners who are not interested in finishing their meal by enjoying a nice smoke.
This upscale steakhouse focuses on an American fare where patrons tend to favor steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost between $20 and $30, and people usually dress casual, but fashionable.
